Re-Forming Motherhood Workshop
Are you getting the most out of motherhood – better yet, are you a happy mom? In connection with Chicago Academia, I am putting on a six-week workshop to dive into why you are the mom you are today, and how to become the mom you want to be. The workshops will help you discover (or rediscover) what you want out of motherhood and also how you can be a great mom for yourself, your children, and your partner.
Held in a collaborative group setting, the workshop will cover topics spanning the history of motherhood through where we are today and 10 years from now. Together, we will tackle the concept of “Illusion of Choice” pertaining to family vs. work (and all points in between). We also will examine how mothers are portrayed in the media, plus how to boost your own value as we wage the war on the wage gap. We will discuss ways to get dad’s more involved and how to approach the often touchy subject. Finally, you will be able to build your own action plan to be the mom that you truly want to be.
So whether you have a house full of children or are a mother-to-be, this six-week workshop will help you build a better understanding of your goals as a mom and help you build your own blueprint to be a happy mom.
